GENERAL INFORMATION:
Mattel made the Sunshine Family from approx 1974 to 1982.
The original Sunshine Family consisted of Dad (Steve), Mum (Stephie) and Baby (Sweets). Later versions of the family had Sweets as a toddler and a new baby (boy - name unknown). Grandparents were also added, as were a cat and a dog.Steve was approximately 9 1/2" tall. Stephie was 9" tall, and Sweets was 3 inches tall.
Mattel also produced a black version called the Happy Family. They consisted of Dad (Hal), Mum (Hattie) and Baby (Hon). They also had a set of Grandparents added.
Mattel also used Steve and Stephie's heads and bodies for a Bicentennial line called the Star Spangled Dolls.
